Dear Martin,

It has occurred to us that the Ministry of Economic

Warfare might be interested to see the figures of the

arms and ammunition which passed through Hong Kong in

transit to China during the second half of 1939, which

were enclosed in Colonial Office official letter

No. 53548/40 of the 2nd March.

We are now passing these figures on to the

Board of Trade, but when they return to you you may wish

to consider showing them to the Ministry of Economic

Warfare.
